D'Andre Lampkin
From South Central Los Angeles to the streets of Ontario — a Deputy Sheriff, nonprofit founder, and community leader running to deliver real results for every neighborhood.
D'Andre Lampkin grew up in South Central Los Angeles — a poor, gang-ridden neighborhood where the odds were stacked against him from the start. Instead of becoming a statistic, he became a public servant. Today he is a Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff, the founder of the D'Andre D. Lampkin Foundation, and a candidate for Ontario City Council — driven by the same conviction that has guided his entire life: where you start doesn't have to determine where you end up.
D'Andre joined the Law Enforcement Explorer Program at age 14, setting him on a path of service that never stopped. As a California POST-certified Academy Instructor and LA County Deputy Sheriff, he has earned commendations for quality of service, mental health crisis response, community outreach, and youth education. In 2023, he was named California Law Enforcement Officer of the Year for Community Service by the American Legion.
In 2017, D'Andre founded the D'Andre D. Lampkin Foundation — a GuideStar Platinum-rated 501(c)(3) advancing food security, scholarships, youth development, disaster recovery, health and wellness, and civic engagement. The foundation's motto says it all: 'Building Stronger, More Resilient Communities, Together.'
D'Andre serves as Vice Chairman of the Los Angeles Region Community Recovery Organization (LARCRO), leading long-term disaster recovery across Southern California and beyond — including the Woolsey Fire, the 2025 LA Wildfires, Hurricane Maria, the Ontario Francis Incident, and the COVID-19 pandemic. He is also a City Planning Commissioner for the City of Ontario, where he contributes to conversations about responsible growth, land use, and the city's future. His policy expertise extends to thought leadership: D'Andre has been published in law reviews, scholarly journals, and Western Cities Magazine, contributing to the broader conversation on public safety, emergency management, and community resilience.
Outside of work, D'Andre mentors young people, hits the trails hiking, writes, works out, bikes, does karaoke, and explores cultural sites across Southern California. He brings that same curiosity and energy to his campaign — because he knows Ontario deserves a City Council member who never stops showing up.

Holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice Administration and an M.S. in Homeland Security & Emergency Management with High Honors from National University. Published in Western City Magazine, the William & Mary Environmental Law and Policy Review, the University of Oregon's Journal of Environmental Law & Litigation, and the International Journal of Emergency Mental Health and Human Resilience.
Civic leadership & entrepreneurship
Serves as a City Planning Commissioner for the City of Ontario, Board Member of the Esperanza Scholarship Foundation, and Board Member of the Creekside West Village Master Association. Also the Founder and CEO of Care Staffing Professionals, a healthcare staffing company supporting facilities and workers across California.
